Judges chapter 19 is perhaps one of the more gruesome chapters of the Tanakh. It deals with the story of a Levite and his concubine. It is mysterious and graphically violent, yet it must be studied. What should be understood from this chapter, what is it’s purpose?

Another great informative episode. I observed something. In verse 29 it says the master cut her in twelve pieces, limb by limb. If you look at the human body there are 3 parts to each extremity. One can cut the shoulder,elbow and wrist joints, and the hip, knee, and ankle joints thus there are 2 upper arms, 2 forearms, 2 hands, 2 thighs, 2 lower extremities, 2 feet. I wonder if he sent out this poor woman’s specific body parts to specific tribes.
Jesus is the 2nd Snake on a Pole, the 2nd Manna from Heaven, and the
2nd Concubine
Jesus was thrown outside all night (the door locked) and was ravaged by evil men.
Isaiah chp 53 says it was God’s plan for Jesus to die this way. That’s why the husband(God) is not surprised.

Evil Benjamin may be a type of Judas.
And not that 65,000 Israelites had to die to avenge the death of one concubine, but rather one concubine(Jesus) died for the many.
A concubine is an earthly woman who belongs to a man and receives no inheritance, whereas Jesus is a heavenly man who belongs to God and inherits everything from the Father.

Jesus said in John’s Gospel, “Everyone will be taught by God”. If you ever get mad at God and want to give up on Scripture, just remember what it alludes to, Jesus Christ the Righteous One. Ask Jehovah and he will tell you what it means. I did.
Eric, I do not hesitate to say that your comment is entirely and hilariously moronic. Thank you for writing it! For it is a fine example of a characteristic warped interpretation of the Tanakh that Christians often desperately resort to.
Jono, I’m not a Christian. I do not subscribe to the pseudo-Apostle Paul, New Testament. Jesus (Yeshua) warned, “Beware the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees and Essenes(Herod). Saul/Paul was a Pharisee and a Benjamite (The evil tribe mentioned in Judges chp 19-21 where the concubine(alluding to Jesus) is locked outside all night and ravaged all night by evil men(“You make me feel like, I’m locked out of heaven” as the song goes).
The Holy Spirit chose Matthias to replace Judas Iscariot (The Traitor) as the 12th Apostle. Matthias met the criteria for Apostleship having been with Jesus(Yeshua) from baptism through his glorious resurrection and ascension. The Devil needed a replacement for Judas as well and chose Saul/Paul. Jesus had always appeared to his Disciples in the flesh after his resurrection. Saul/Paul claimed Jesus appeared as a bright light to him. The Devil mascarades as an angel of light.
Jesus is the 2nd snake-on-a-pole, the 2nd manna(but True manna) from heaven, and the 2nd concubine.
Jesus said, before Father Abraham was born, “I AM”. “I AM SECOND” also holds true.
Everyone has seen the “I am Second” billboards. But this is different. What I am telling you is what “I AM SECOND” really means to JEHOVAH.
These 3 (just mentioned: snake/manna/concubine) testify to the risen Christ.
As does the sign of Jonah, for as Jonah was 3 days and 3 nights in the belly of the fish, so the Son of Man(God) will be 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth. Tear down this Temple, and in 3 days I will rebuild it again, Jesus told the Jewish authorities. He was speaking of his body. They thought he meant the Temple which took 40-50 years to build. They were not about to tear that down to see if Jesus would rebuild it again in 3 days.
Those who look to the lifted up, sin cursed Christ on a cross (like Moses’ snake-on-a-pole),
and those who eat Christ’s flesh(True manna/bread from heaven) and drink his blood(the life of God’s Son is in his blood) will live forever. And this is a free gift from JEHOVAH. It is not something we can earn ourselves. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
