Vaetchanan – Deuteronomy 3:23-7:11

Vaetchanan is perhaps the crown jewel of Torah portions. It contains the Shema in Deuteronomy 6:4. But what do the Hebrew words “Shema” and “Echad” mean and why is this single verse so important? Also in this program: Is Jesus/Yeshua a victim of character assassination? What are the Noahide laws? Was the covenant made with us or our fathers? What is the 1st commandment?

The end of this program where they talk about the Shema is the most important thing on the web. Yehovah is One, that’s it. Yeshua said to love Yehovah with all your heart, mind and soul. When we “Hear” shema Yehovah deeply we will know his thoughts and heart. And then we can share our Father’s thoughts and feelings with others as Yeshua did and taught us to do.

I would like to see this “getting our facts right” go another step and show how it works in our lives. The Trinitarians are great at showing how their definition of the Father and Son’s relationship manifests in our lives. I’m glad we are getting back to truths, but I wait to see how we apply it.

Jono did you draw this picture of Moses with the decalogue? Because white-haired people usually don’t use mousse.

What continues to bother me are the scriptures that clearly instruct us not to keep feasts anywhere we want but only at the place He put His name…….temple in Jerusalem. As well, since we are in captivity, do we have any evidence at all, that Daniel or his friends kept any feasts? Did Paul tell any of the places he visited that they didn’t need to come to Jerusalem but stay home and “rehearse”?
this is what scripture says about captivity/feasts

Hos 9:5 What will you do on the day of your appointed festivals,
on the feast days of the Lord?
6 Even if they escape from destruction,
    Egypt will gather them,
    and Memphis will bury them.
Their treasures of silver will be taken over by briers,
and thorns will overrun their tents.
Mal 2:3 “Because of you I will rebuke your descendants[a]; I will smear on your faces the dung from your festival sacrifices, and you will be carried off with it.
Jer 17:4 And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue from thine heritage that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not
Hos 2:11 I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.
