Excellent as usual…. we do not comment very often but we are listening every week and we appreciate every pearl . As we had researched Ron Wyatt and the Red Sea crossing in the past and did not doubt the authenticity of it, we were alarmed at your comment about the chariot wheels and so we did a bit of research today and found this on you tube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ubKUip6pz0 . It would appear that the Red Sea crossing is as Ron Wyatt showed it. Perhaps Tovia can dive there and confirm it for us all?!

About the crossing. Put aside R. Wyatt, but have you seen & read “The Exodus Case” by Dr. Lennart Moller, & “The God of the Mountain” by Penny Cox Caldwell. Dr. Kim Sung Hak also and others. And others. The Torah Pearls is long. It perhaps not long enough. There are more in there that I hope will addressed next year. We love the the perspective To is has. Glad Jason Had more input this time.

Thanks for the wonderful treasure chest of knowledge; have waited many years to have things made clear. I greatly enjoy these get togethers There is just one thing I must ask you to do for the sake of my sanity and that of a few others. Please would you make a distinction between “Jew” and “Israelite” when you read passages like this. My mind ends up arguing with you to keep myself on track. It’s kind of like you moving a sticker on my rubics cube and I have to fish to get it back in place. Or, if you will, it’s like Jason’s” mister squeaky”, can we take the battery “out” of this one? ( Did the “Jews” not become separate after Solomon, and “Israel” also was a kingdom after that? ) I like to think at least that if I am possibly from one of the lost tribes I might be able to be found, and given my identity too. Pat, there is no distinction between the term “Jew” and “Israelite” or “Hebrew.” They are all different terms for bnei Yisrael — the children of Israel. The confusion arises when people mistakenly think that “Jew” only applies to member of the tribe of Judah. This is easily disproven — simply read the book of Esther where we are told that Mordechai (Esther’s relative) was a Jew from the tribe of Benjamin.
The term “Jew” became a universal name for us after the Northern Kingdom of Israel was destroyed over 2700 years ago. The southern Kingdom of Judah survived until about 1900 years ago when the Romans dispersed the population to the four corners of the world.
So don’t let the name “Jew” or “Hebrew” or “Israelite” or “Bnei Yisrael” confuse you — the only thing you need to keep in mind as you read the T’nach is when the term “Judah” refers to the sourthern Kingdom and its inhabitants or when the term “Israel” is used to describe the residents of the Northern Kingdom. It should be no more confusing to you than those who use the term “American” to speak only of United States citizens when the term applies just as much to Canadians, Mexicans and those in Central and South America. . .

I’ve been sporadically listening to various truth2u podcasts for the past month with ever-increasing frequency. Your informative talks have helped me view Judaism in a whole new light. The magnitude of the insights I’ve gained disturbs me. I’m a Jew, essentially raised secular, now attempting to connect with my Mesorah. I’ve been regularly attending Shabbosim at a local Chabad house and engrossing myself in Jewish texts for the past couple months, but this site is largely responsible for some of the greater leaps in my understanding. I can’t shake the feeling that this intriguing potpourri of Jews, Christians, noahide-inclined individuals, and the occasional Karaite might not be the most appropriate source of knowledge for me (no offense guys). Is it? If not, what am I doing wrong? More precisely, what should I be doing differently?
You should merit much blessing and success in all your endeavors and continue to inspire yourselves and others.
Thanks Sophiee for getting back to me on this and for your clarification. I understand the history side of it and was aware of the Ester / Benjamite connection. I wasn’t aware however that the term Jew was also an actual equivalent to Hebrew and Israelite. Good to be able to clear up some of these little things. I also very much like the fearless growth that we see here on this site by those who are truth seekers. We here have been listening to Jono since the “Meander Radio” days, and have certainly been challenged and seen growth because of it. May it never stop. Thank you and Shalome. 🙂
I know this comment is a bit delayed… I have many blessed little “interruptors” at home that demand my attention. 😉 However, I wanted to post and let you all know how meaningful this Torah Pearls discussion was for me, on a personal level, and hope that it connects with others as well. I greatly appreciate your discussion about the “symphony” of G-d’s acts working together, all the pieces in order to make himself known to the Jews and also to the Egyptians. I’ve recently had a similar experience but of course on a much smaller scale! There is a direct correlation between the time when we realized YHVH was truly one and there is no other to some amazing occurrences. Amazing things lining up that are completely impossible to be coordinated by any person. I’ve been puzzled by this. Puzzled because it baffles me that anything could have the power and authority to cause these many many diverse instances to work together. Of course, it could only be G-d. I know it is him. Yet I’m puzzled because I feel unworthy to receive this attention. I’ve been asking, why are you doing this, G-d? Now, I think I have the answer. Like a symphony with all the parts beautifully and fantastically coming together to create music, I am certain G-d has done this to make His “name” known to us, for His glory. It makes perfect sense now. Thank you all so much for helping me see the “symphony” come together.
