    Tnx guys
Telling us what to believe? You’ve never done that and that’s why I continue to listen.

Interesting – you’re stand on the Hebrew roots is great, as you both force me to look it up and ? My previous beliefs. I no longer read or study the NT because to me it’s crafty way of twisting the Tanak so that you will be confused. However since most of the NT is made up of quotes from the old, why bother with the new?

    Thanks again and shalom

could elohim also be considered to refer to those whom have been anointed and appointed by Yehovah to fulfill certain positions of leadership? Would then the title elohim be considered their separation – set apartness – from the majority? Like Yeshua has been called, anointed and appointed KING who will sit on Yehovah’s throne like Solomon and david did? Solomon was also given the reference Son of God and King who sits on Yehovah’s throne. Therefore – couldn’t “Son of God” be considered another title referrng to the type of position that person is to hold (son of god also referring to the level of personal interaction with Yehovah in that position). Just my opinion. Thank you for having these types of discussions which causes us to lay aside our preconceived ideas to hear what the original language and content speaks of. May Yehovah continue to bless His people with eyes that see, ears that hear and hearts that hunger to understand and obey His instructions.

Thanks Jason and Jono. That will give us listeners some research duty hehe
The understanding I have come to accept deals with the translation from greek to english. There were changes to names/titles in the book of hebrews that muddied the water even further.

Below is a link that explains this in detail and takes about 10 minutes to get some steam up. This might be more appreciated by the messianics in the crowd.
Agree or disagree, i thinks its the best explanation ive heard to date. This, added with your presentation Jono and Jason, fit well together and fill the picture even more.

Have you pair done a presentation on Revelations yet? Just trying to keep you pumping out these excellent presentations. 😉
There are some strange goings on in that book that i find hard to lock into place.
Anyway thankyou very much again for your time and effort.

(Jono if this link is not cool with you, please feel free to not post my comment, cheers)<- please delete. 🙂

Very good, brought up things I hadn’t seen before! Question – what version does Jason use? When he reads it’s different wording that what is on the screen. Todah!

    Agree Mary…

Hi Linda – Jason here… sneaking in as an admin!

Sometimes to version I read out is not the version I add in the video.. There are a couple of reasons for this.. 1) sometimes we want to give the listener more than one version to ‘hear’ and ‘read’.. and 2) we want to mix things up so most readers and either listen or read along in their own bibles.

To answer your question.. usually I use the HCS, NIV and JPS 🙂

Hope this helps. Thanks for commenting.

  8. Daniel says

It seems that you prefer Greek philosophy over Gods true divine Word.

Without the Holy Spirit you will always be going against the pricks just as Saul was doing until he was touched by the Holy Spirit it is a catch 22 for people like yourself I am not being judgmental it is very obvious that you will post what fits into your agenda and keep out the truth of the Holy Spirit I pray for all of you daily but it is only through the Holy Spirit one can be drawn to the Father but no one can came to the Father unless he goes to the Son first the Father has to send you the Holy Spirit to open your heart so you are able to see the Father in His Son so without the Holy Spirit you are up the creek of dung without the paddle to get you out of your smelly mess I like you guys” but you and the Karite are fighting a losing battle you are opposing Yehovah the Father by rejecting His Son who is the One who was to come and fulfill what He has written who else has done more to bring people Jew and Gentile alike to the Father Yehovah than the Christ that you so willingly mock openly God is patient but keep in mind that God will not be mocked without repercussions to the mocker in his YHVH)own ( perfect time.

Chew on this on your own since I know that you are unwilling to post the facts”

Who else could Yeshua be if He is not God Himself?

    Aramaic Bible in Plain English

There are also many other things that Yeshua did, which if they were to be written, each one, I suppose even the world would be insufficient for the books that would be written.

    John 20:30
Yeshua performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book.

    John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

You have to be cursed not to see the simple truth.

    Isaiah 44:20
Such a person feeds on ashes; a deluded heart misleads him; he cannot save himself, or say, “Is not this thing in my right hand a lie?”

    Jeremiah 4:10
Then I said, “Alas, Sovereign LORD! How completely you have deceived this people and Jerusalem by saying, ‘You will have peace,’ when the sword is at our throats!”

    1 Kings 22:22
“‘By what means?’ the LORD asked.

“‘I will go out and be a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all his prophets,’ he said.
“‘You will succeed in enticing him,’ said the LORD. ‘Go and do it.’

    Aramaic Bible in Plain English

Because of this, God sent them the activity of delusion that they would believe lies.

(If you were opposing a man you might have a chance? But you are up against the God that you profess to love Yehovah is His Name and Yesuha is His Christ )

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:28-31

If God is in it, there can be no stopping it. If He is not, it will fail.

This was Gamaliel’s advice to the Sanhedrin when the apostles were arrested in Acts 5:17-42. “Leave these men alone! Let them go! If their activity is of human origin, it will fail. But, if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.”

(You are fighting a losing battle”

The Sadducees are long gone a long time ago and Nehemia is only wishing on the moon.He is caught in his own wishfull imagination.

It is finished the battle was won on the Cross”

    Without Christ there is nothing”

    John 1:3
    New King James Version (NKJV)

3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

(You cannot refer to the New Testament only when it fits your purpose.

    Psalms 40:7

Then sayd I, Loe, I come: in the volume of the booke it is written of me:
    – King James Version (1611)

“In the volume of the book it is written of Me” (Heb.10:7), said the Lord Yeshua. Christ is the key to the Scriptures — “Search the Scriptures[hellip]they are they which testify of Me,” are His words; and the Scriptures to which He had reference were not the four Gospels, for they were not then written, but the writings of Moses and the prophets. The Old Testament Scriptures, then, are something more than a compilation of historical narratives, something more than the record of a system of social and religious legislation, or a code of ethics. The Old Testament Scriptures are, fundamentally, a stage on which is shown forth, in vivid symbolry, stupendous events then future. The events recorded in the Old Testament were actual occurrences, yet were they also typical prefigurations. Throughout the Old Testament dispensations YHVH caused to be shadowed forth things which must yet come to pass. This is in full accord with a basic law in the economy of God. Nothing is brought to maturity at once. As it is in the natural world, so it is in the spiritual: there is first the blade, then the ear, and then the full corn in the ear. So there is first the shadow, and then the substance; the type, and then the antitype.

Put that in your pipe and have a puff”

I truly do pray for you guys everyday”

Imagine what you could do for YHVH if you only had the Holy Spirit”

So I continue to pray each and every day that you will be arested like Paul”

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. – 2 Corinthians 4:18

  9. Daniel says

What do John 1:1,14 mean when they declare that Yeshua is the Word of God?”

The answer to this question is found by first understanding the reason why John wrote his gospel. We find his purpose clearly stated in John 20:30-31. “Many other signs therefore Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.” Once we understand that John’s purpose was to introduce the readers of his gospel to Jesus Christ, establishing Who Jesus is (God in the flesh) and what He did, all with the sole aim of leading them to embrace the saving work of Christ in faith, we will be better able to understand why John introduces Jesus as “The Word” in John 1:1.

By starting out his gospel stating, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God,” John is introducing Jesus with a word or a term that both his Jewish and Gentile readers would have been familiar with. The Greek word translated “Word” in this passage is Logos, and it was common in both Greek philosophy and Jewish thought of that day. For example, in the Old Testament the “word” of God is often personified as an instrument for the execution of God’s will (Psalm 33:6; 107:20; 119:89; 147:15-18). So, for his Jewish readers, by introducing Jesus as the “Word,” John is in a sense pointing them back to the Old Testament where the Logos or “Word” of God is associated with the personification of God’s revelation. And in Greek philosophy, the term Logos was used to describe the intermediate agency by which God created material things and communicated with them. In the Greek worldview, the Logos was thought of as a bridge between the transcendent God and the material universe. Therefore, for his Greek readers the use of the term Logos would have likely brought forth the idea of a mediating principle between God and the world.

So, essentially, what John is doing by introducing Jesus as the Logos is drawing upon a familiar word and concept that both Jews and Gentiles of his day would have been familiar with and using that as the starting point from which He introduces them to Jesus Christ. But John goes beyond the familiar concept of Logos that his Jewish and Gentile readers would have had and presents Jesus Christ not as a mere mediating principle like the Greeks perceived, but as a personal being, fully divine, yet fully human. Also, Christ was not simply a personification of God’s revelation as the Jews thought, but was indeed God’s perfect revelation of Himself in the flesh, so much so that John would record Jesus’ own words to Philip: “Jesus said unto Him, ‘Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how do you say, “Show us the Father”?'” (John 14:9). By using the term Logos or “Word” in John 1:1, John is amplifying and applying a concept that was familiar with his audience and using that to introduce his readers to the true Logos of God in Jesus Christ, the Living Word of God, fully God and yet fully man, who came to reveal God to man and redeem all who believe in Him from their sin.

Matthew 12:1 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.
Matthew 12:2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.
    Matthew 12:3 But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;
Matthew 12:4 How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?
Matthew 12:5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
Matthew 12:6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.
Matthew 12:7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless. [And why is He guiltless?]

Matthew 12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

(If you have seen me you have seen the Father.)

    22For indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom;
23but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness,…

If you do not know by now you are not ment to know.

Yeshua Ha’mashiach is your stumbling block”

“Unless you people see signs and wonders,”

Yeshua told him, “you will never believe.”

To the Gentile God is foolishness”

So I pray 4U truth to be 2U.

Thank you for putting up my post
I hope people will return to this program.

Have hope that you gentlemen had a chance to listen to the video?

All you have to do is to click on the link and it will open up.
I think that the speaker makes it very clear about who Yeshua is.

I will like to hear what Jason thinks about what the speaker is saying in this video
that the entire bible being true I truly believe the Father would not have a problem keeping the Gospels away from the books of Moses if there were any discrepancy between the two I will come back to the post to check if you had a chance to listen
to this speaker we are interested to hear your thoughts on this teaching.

    Thank you.

    Best regards

    Yolanda Mills.

  11. David says

Who else could Yeshua be if He is not God Himself?

If he existed at all, I would say he may have been a Jewish man with some ideas of his own.

Are you serious? Are you honestly expecting people to believe that certain acts have been carried out without any record of what they might have been and when they occurred?

    John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

You have to be cursed not to see the simple truth. <——— remember your accusation towards others.

English translations by William Tyndale, Miles Coverdale, and John Rodgers, all translated the greek word 'logos' as 'it' and not as a 'him'. The Greek word 'logos' (word) meaning isthe spoken word or something said, including a thought. Therefore like the above translators I had to concede 'logos' is an "it," and not a person or some divine or semi-divine being or intermediary. In addition when I compare John 1 with the Tanach could not I find anywhere that Jesus spoke creation into existence or that Jesus was the word God spoke that caused creation to come into existence.

But what I did find when I compare 'logos' as an 'it' and not a 'him' is that it agreed perfectly with passages such as Genesis chapters1:3, 6, 9, 11, 14, 20, and 24, all of which begin, "And Elohim said." In y delusional mind that told me Yehovah spoke and BANG! It was done, no intermediary was involved in the process of creation.

By the word of Yehovah were the heavens made; and all the host by the breath of his mouth. . . For He spoke and it was; He commanded, and it stood fast.

Please Daniel instead of accusing people of being delusional try exploring some more options.

  12. Aaron Wynn says

David: Hebrew has no “it”, so what an English translator chooses to use is irrelevant. Yeshua also called himself Wisdom, which is feminine. Ideas have no sex organs. People acting in the office of an idea are unaffected by the “gender” of the term used to label the idea.

  13. david says

Is Yeshua your messiah and the Word of God made flesh.
    One word please…Yes or No

  14. Roger says

Sorry to say that the Synoptic Gospels NEVER show Yeshua, if there has ever been a man by that name in history, since no Roman, Greek or Jewish Historian mention him, that Yeshua is half man half god, that is a pagan idea. The Gospel of John was first mentioned in 180 C.E. by Ireneus who mentions it by first time. Nobody knows who is the author of such Gospel, and according to the NT John was an illiterate fisherman, that is what we read in Acts 3, so John, the Galillean fisherman could not write a gospel full of gnostic doctrine and Christian theology. Jesus prayed to the Father, then JEWS are right when they pray to the Father and worship Him. Christians teach a Trinity that has no basis whatsoever on the Torah. So, let me stay with the Jews, they know more their Bible than Gentiles who creater religion that teaches against Torah.
