Ira Michaelson – Treasures from the Tanakh – Job 11:1-20

Here in chapter 11 Job’s third friend, Zophar the Naamathite, speaks for the first time and calls Job to repent. His speech is brief yet his accusations are both brash and offensively condescending to poor Job. Also, listen as Ira recounts his and Nehemia’s recent experienced at a Sunday morning mega church!

This is a tough book; but thanks for helping us to get to understand it better. Cannot wait for the meat! What a chirp that church is!

I so appreciate these discussions! Putting these speeches into simple terms really makes it come alive – my eyes do not glazed over as they do when I read them on my own. Thank you for all your effort in explaining these words. And, sheesh! With friends like this… It just makes me sick that on top of everything Job has been through, his “friends” have to throw salt in the wounds!
