Type two diabetes is one of the fastest growing diseases in the western world. But is it simply a result of poor diet and bad gut bacteria? The Kultured Karaite shares some basic steps toward avoiding becoming a statistic.

Don’t know if you have space problems in your radio studio, but
Channi sounds like she is in an echo
chamber with your new “technology.” I like her input with these
episodes. Please bring her back inside.
I have been dealing with type 2 diabetes for several years. I sent the link from the PLOS One article concerning “Gut Microbiota in Human Adults with Type 2 Diabetes” to my endocrinologist for him to read so that we could discuss it at my next visit. I just left his office, and he had two observations. He said that he read the Abstract and the differences in gut microbiota was not determined to be a cause of type 2 diabetes or the effect of an increase in blood sugar causing change in bowel flora. Also, he said that the sample was so small that it was impossible to draw any legitimate conclusions. If your doctors draw different conclusions I would be interested to hear them.
I’m loving this program and have emailed it to several others. I have lost at least 10 pounds since I started kefir in the spring. My husband has lost weight as well. We weren’t trying to lose weight, but now I am down to pre-pregnancy weight- I haven’t been there for for over 8 years. I can just imagine what I would look like if I added regular excercise! We are getting lots of compliments on our skin as well. Thanks a bunch for these programs, what a blessing!
I like these programs almost better than the Torah Pearls. I agree with your advice of starting with something small. My husband and I started by reading labels and not buying things with yeast in them because I was ill and decided to follow Doug Kaufmann’s anti-fungal diet. Then we became kosher. Then we started eliminating other bad ingredients. But it has been some years and we slowly went back to a few things like bread. After listening to just a few of these programs I am again encouraged to give up bread. I’ve been afraid of Kefir and fermenting though. I will have to find the beginning of this series so I can understand it better.
i’ve been kefiring since about march. don’t know pound loss but…i’m down major sizes…without effort. I credit the Lord and kefir.
reason for this reply is..i’ve shared kefir with friends who are diabetic…mostly because they see me and want to know my secret…all of them report seriously improved glucose readings…still only a few weeks forthem but i am very hopeful that they will ‘come out of babylon(pharmacaeia)’ and into health
