Nehemia sorry for your loss of Georgia my son BILLY-JOE has to ridgebacks one is Rex he would be the same age as your dog looks like yours but he has got the lion on his back he is long hair he used go 40 click when he use pull BJ on his skate board no more we have neally twice the youn she is only 3 she wont let anybody go near BJ not even me when he goes wingers really loud she jumps into his armsher name isBellashe is very musley we tried to mate them but he is to old she wont let himso she had no puppies i allways love theese bible talkslol carolRex blacks out some times but he comes backi just worry about BJ IF HE looses him he is neally 25 on the 3 of april
Thank you so much for these studies, they are confirming and solidifying so many things for me in the scriptures. Today’s study was totally what I needed in some areas that I have been crying out to Yehovah to hear Him and understand what I’m to be doing in my daily life.

Nehemia, commiserations on your loss of your companion animal Georgia. They add a dimension to our lives that is sorely felt when they are no longer with us. I say this as I am once again short sheeted by the lump on my bed. You gave her love and she responded with her loyalty. My thoughts are with you today…and every pet owner understands your loss. Thanks for doing the show in the midst of your grief.

I am so sorry that Georgia is gone. I love animals almost more than people. I hope that our animals go to be with Yehowah when their bodies die and go to the grave.

2 Sam 8:15-18 …David’s sons were priests (cohenim)
1 Chron. 18:14-17…David’s sons were chief ministers(7223 rishon) at the king’s side
This led to study of word “Cohen” minister to Elohim, it can also mean prince, principal officer, governmental officer as in 2 Sam..
Shemot 18:12-27…Jethro gives advice to Moshe how to manage giving justice to the people by appointing judges. Something a governmental official would know of.
As you mentioned Jethro was a descendant of Avraham through Midyan. He is a minister in Midyan.
Is it possible that Jethro was a goverrnmental ministers rather than minister of pagan idols?
Today we use the terrm ‘minister’ in the same way. Both as religious minister and goernmental.

Thank you Brothers for these discussions. I am so blessed by them in so many ways. This particular one touches me because I grieve with Nehemiah in the loss of a beloved canine companion. My dog’s name was Jethro.
If Shavuot is 50 days after the Wave Sheaf offering during the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which would then land in the first week of the third month, how can the giving of the 10 Commandments occur on Shavuot seeing as how Moses and the Israelites hadn’t even arrived at Mount Sinai by then? They arrived at Mount Sinai the same day of the third month as they left Egypt in the first month, i.e. the 15th/16th of the third month, which is 9-10 days later than the ‘traditional’ day held as Shavuot, i.e. the 6th day of the third month. Don’t get me wrong, I agree that the 10 Commandments were given on Shavuot and that the feast Aaron proclaimed the day Moses came down the mountain with the tablets of stone was indeed Shavuot. I am convinced we have the count to Shavuot wrong! The Scriptures tell us in Leviticus 23 to count seven sabbaths complete and THEN count 50 days. In Lunar Sabbath keeping seven sabbaths complete would include two or three days of Rosh Chodesh for a total count of 51 or 52 days THEN from the ‘morrow’ after the seven sabbaths complete you count 50 days for a grand total of 101 to 102 days. Before you scoff please know that harmonizes perfectly to the very day when Moses came down the mountain with the tablets of stone and Aaron was feasting (abominably) with the rest of the Israelites. Coincidence??? Not a chance!!! With this count the Leviticus 23 commandment and the Exodus 19-32 historical narrative are perfectly reconciled!!! Furthermore, Shavuot is to be a first fruits offering of the wheat, specifically spring wheat, PLEASE consider this, THERE IS NO SPRING WHEAT AVAILABLE IN THE FIRST WEEK OF THE THIRD MONTH!!! Spring wheat will not be ripe to harvest until late in the fourth month!!! According to Lunar Sabbath keeping the seven sabbaths complete plus the 50 days counted from the morrow after the seven sabbaths complete work out to either the 28th or 29th of the fourth month depending upon how many days of Rosh Chodesh have transpired during the transition between months, at that time the wheat is ready for harvest. The year of the Exodus the Chag of Shavuot fell on the 29th day of the fourth month, the very day an accurate accounting of days from Scriptural events has Moses coming down the mountain with the 10 Commandments!!! This count to Shavuot is one of the most compelling proofs of Lunar Sabbath keeping as there is no other way to reconcile Leviticus 23 with Exodus 19-32!!! Blessings to all.
Beautiful depth to the name of the gentile Caleb (keleb=dog) for today’s portion to commemorate Georgia. As a foreigner who has joined myself to Yehovah (Is. 56:6), I cannot help but to be reminded of the Canaanite woman in Matthew 15:24-28 who, when asking Yeshua for a healing, mentioned what even the dogs feed on the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table and on this basis, her request was granted.

I wanted to share that I follow along using the CJB (Complete Jewish Bible Copyright 1998 by David H. Stern) and many times when Nehemia translates directly from the Hebrew, it reads word for word what he says. I just think that’s pretty cool and wanted to share since I know the CJB isn’t that popularly known.

Nehemiah, thank you for the courage you have demonstrated in the absence of your best friend Georgia. Your counter-attack is truly from Yehovah. Just like Caleb who stood firm in whom he believed. He served Yehovah with all his mind. He saw the “giants in the land” as mere shadows. There seems to be a constant battle for our minds.
As the late Jewish poet Natan Alterman wrote:
“Then Satan said: How do I overcome / this besieged one? / He has courage and talent / And implements of war and resourcefulness. / And he said: I shall not take away his strength / And I shall not curb him with bit and bridle … / And I shall not weaken his hands as in days of yore. / Only this shall I do: I will dull his mind / and cause him to forget / the justice of his cause / … And it was as if the heavens blanched in terror / As they saw him arise / To carry out his plot.”
I love to hear the Torah taught! I also looked up cohen and noticed in Ex 19;6,22 and 24 it is used. Can you tell me who these people were since the priests weren’t formally set apart yet? Were they the house of Levi like Moses and Aaron? Thankyou for any replies.
I’m confused. It says that Caleb is from the tribe of Judah. But you are saying that he was not a physical descendant of Israel.

My husband is a retired minister and now he speaks to anyone wanting to listen about Hebrew roots and the name Yehovah. Your programs helps him help others. By the way, he was a minister in Australia for a number of years back n the 60s-70s.

It is so refreshing to listen to a group of diverse bible scholars who are all friends and can say just about anything to each other.
