Just my humble opinion:
Scripture says to make tassels with a blue thread.
Taken at face value, it does not say what color blue, and it does not indicate (how many) knots.
Although we may try to get the blue color right, and may try to get the correct number of knots, let’s simplify and just DO The Word. And once I on have these tzitziot, do they “function” as indicated: remind me to keep / guard / obey The Commandments, which are now written, not on tablets of stone, but written on my heart and mind.

However, the prophesies of Ezekiel 36:26-27 & Jeremiah 31:33-34 have not yet been fulfilled and “The True and Greater Israel” are the descendants of Abraham together with the foreigners who have joined themselves to the covenant, “One law shall be for the native-born and the stranger who dwells among you.” – Exodus 12:49
